The Architectural Avengers: Why You Need a Responsive and Well-Prepared Architectural Office

When it comes to designing and building your dream space, you want an architectural office that's quick on their feet and ready for anything. You want an office that's like the Avengers, but for architecture. And trust us, you don't want to end up with an office that's more like the Scooby-Doo gang – constantly bumbling around and getting into trouble.

So why is it so important to choose a responsive and well-prepared architectural office? Let's break it down.

First of all, responsiveness is key. You want an architectural office that's easy to get in touch with and quick to respond to your questions and concerns. There's nothing worse than feeling like you're in the dark about the progress of your project, or like you're being ignored by your architect. A responsive office will keep you in the loop and make sure you feel heard throughout the entire process.

But responsiveness alone isn't enough. You also want an office that's well-prepared and ready for anything. This means they have the skills, experience, and resources to tackle any challenge that comes their way. Whether it's a zoning issue, a tricky building code requirement, or a surprise construction delay, a well-prepared office will have the tools and expertise to handle it all.

So how do you find an architectural office that's both responsive and well-prepared? Here are a few tips:

Check their references. Talk to past clients and ask about their experience working with the office. Did they feel heard and supported throughout the process? Did the office handle any challenges or issues in a timely and professional manner?

Look at their portfolio. Does their work demonstrate a range of skills and expertise?

Do they have experience with projects similar to yours?

Have a conversation. Sit down with the office and ask about their process. How do they handle communication with clients? What steps do they take to prepare for unexpected challenges?

At the end of the day, you want an architectural office that's like the Avengers – a team of skilled professionals who are ready for anything. And just like the Avengers, the right architectural office will have your back every step of the way, ensuring your dream space becomes a reality.

Flow is a culturally diverse architectural ecosystem where everyone has a voice and a shot at making a better world through the use of materials, form, and space. Our design philosophy is fueled by the strengths and skills each partner brings into the table to achieve a common purpose: great and impactful architecture for humanity. The process is essentially an organized oasis of resources working in harmony via thoughtful collaboration.

Flow is rooted in the dream of the firm's founding partners to make a place for those without a place in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction industry. This dream became an obsession, and it sparked momentum when the firm was invited to participate in the 2019 Licensing Advisors Summit hosted by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards in Minneapolis. This is where NCARB shared a picture of the board members from all states and jurisdictions and none of them was a person of color. Michael Armstrong, CEO of NCARB, acknowledged that this was a problem and that they did not know what to do about it. Flow founding partner Darguin Fortuna believed that was a problem too and that the firm FLOW would insight change over the years.

Our Company is based out of the North Shore in Salem, Massachusetts. We serve Local, National, and International clients. We have licensed Architects in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Pennsylvania & Florida.
